Accessibility
Our target
We build the Nexary website, the Nexary app and these policy pages to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That is the standard we design and test against.
It is a target, not a claim. Nexary has not been independently audited or certified for accessibility, and we know it does not yet meet every requirement on every screen. This page says what we have done, what we know is still limited, and how to tell us about a problem.
What we have done
- Form fields in the app have labels that assistive technology reads, and buttons that act on one item among many say which item they act on.
- Tabs can be operated with the keyboard: arrow keys move between tabs, Home and End jump to the first and last, and only the selected tab is a Tab stop.
- The site, the app and these policy pages have a "skip to content" link, page landmarks, and a visible focus indicator for keyboard users.
- We fixed the text-contrast failures we found and check those colours automatically. Status is written in words, never shown by colour alone.
- Pages follow your device's reduced-motion setting, and the policy pages reflow to a narrow screen without sideways scrolling.
- Deleting a conversation from the inbox asks you to confirm first.
- Automated checks run on every change to catch these problems coming back.
What is still limited
- Automated checks cannot prove that every screen works well with every screen reader, and we have not yet completed testing with a full range of assistive technologies.
- Some app screens are dense, and parts of them may still have problems we have not found.
- The animated visual on the home page is decorative; its status is also written as text.
- Checkout pages from Stripe or PayPal and Google's permission pages are run by those companies, and we cannot change them.
Tell us about a problem
If something on Nexary is hard or impossible to use, email nexussystems.business@gmail.com with "Accessibility" in the subject. It helps to include:
- the page or screen, and what you were trying to do;
- what happened instead; and
- the device, browser and any assistive technology you use, if you know them.
Reports go to the address above. We aim to read each one, reply, and, where we can, suggest another way to get the task done while the problem is open. That is a best-effort aim: Nexary does not offer a guaranteed response time.
